Westone Reveals ES Exotics and new Custom Shop In-Ear Musiciansʼ Monitors

Westone Laboratories, Inc. reveals new ES Exotics and custom art program for ES Series In-
Ear Musiciansʼ Monitors including new ES Exotic with shell veneers.
Colorado Springs, CO., Feb 21, 2011 – Westone introduces a new Custom Shop program that
takes “custom ears” to a whole new level. Using a newly developed process appropriately
called Image Lock, Westone’s custom art has incredible resolution as well as durability. Also
introduced as part of Westone’s new Custom Shop is the ES Exotic series, which uses real shell
veneers to produce a new level of custom faceplates.
“Westone has revolutionized the custom in-ear musicians’ monitor industry with class leading
products superior in both sound and quality. Our new Custom Shop allows customers to further
individualize their monitors to express their personal tastes,” says Jeff Kwiatkowski, Director of
Music Products.
The Westone ES Custom Shop now offers three options of customization.
Level 1 custom art is a comprehensive and rapidly expanding library of artwork created by the
in-house Westone creative team. Level 1 includes the Westone Image Lock process with
resolution up to 1440dpi.
Level 2 custom art gives the consumer total creative control as they supply their own image,
logo or custom creation. Westone designers then scale and enhance the image for optimum fit
on the custom earpiece. The sky is the limit, with the exception of those images that are
protected with copyrights or trademarks.
ES Exotics use real shell veneers to adorn each earpiece with a unique color and pattern only
nature could dream up. ES Exotics are offered in nine unique and exotic shell colors. Each
shell faceplate is protected with Westone’s Image Lock process; this insures that the earpiece
will sparkle for years to come.
“Continuing to push the envelope with our custom products is very exciting. A tremendous
amount of research and development has yielded a new custom program that offers true
customization and exceptional quality,” explains T.J. Chambless, New Products Introduction
Manager.
“The Image Lock process not only gives us extreme resolution but also protects the artwork with
a scratch resistant surface that will stand up to years of professional use.”
Westone Custom Shop products are available immediately. Level 1 custom art adds a
suggested retail price of $75 to any ES Series in-ear musicians’ monitor. Level 2 adds $95 and
the ES Exotics shell adds $125 to the price of any ES Series monitor. Westone Custom Shop
