Autonomic New Products and Features at CEDIA 2011

Armonk, NY. August 30, 2011—Autonomic, supplying the custom electronics industry with premium cloud-based media server solutions, has announced that the popular Mirage Media Server MMS-2 is now available in a sleeker, more compact form factor and now offers a faster processor, Toslink and HDMI outputs. With an MSRP of $1995, the price of the MMS-2 incorporating these new features remains the same.

The MMS-2 represents a strong value for users seeking to converge content for multi-room distribution while gaining global access to their audio collections by leveraging cloud synchronization services. “We have taken the tremendously popular MMS-2 and enhanced both the form factor and the feature set without a bump in price,” explained Autonomic Co-founder and CEO Michael de Nigris. “We are excited to demonstrate our new products at CEDIA 2011 and unveil our new animated promotional video—a tool we have created for our dealers that simply explains the Mirage Media Server concept in 2-minutes,” de Nigris added.

Mirage Media Server functionality has also been enhanced by the addition of Amazon Cloud integration to go along with MP3 Tunes and iCloud compatibility. Additionally, Autonomic is working with Savant and their media server API (App Programming Interface) to implement richer integration within Savant’s control and automation environment. Mirage Media Servers already offer a vast array of control options with modules available for AMX, Control4, Crestron, RTI, URC, iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch.

The MMS-5 will become available in two versions—the MMS-5A (audio only) and the MMS-5AV (audio and video capability with a higher MSRP). The Mirage Media Server MMS-5AV will be capable of iTunes video playback. As promised, all existing MMS5’s will be field upgradable to adapt to this new functionality, making the currently available MMS-5 with field upgradability a very strong value while they last. The MMS-5A and MMS-5AV are expected to ship in Q4, 2011 including all new firmware updates.
