Marantz Introduces New High-Performance Integrated Amplifier with Wireless Streaming Capabilities
The PM7000N Offers Effortless Access to Digital Music Libraries with
Audiophile-Grade Components
VISTA, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2019)
— Marantz®,
the number one Hi-Fi brand in the world[1]
and manufacturer of the most musical-sounding audio components, today announced the PM7000N, the company’s first fully discrete integrated Hi-Fi amplifier with wireless music streaming capabilities. With HEOS Built-in, listeners can stream up to the highest
resolution music from Amazon HD, Spotify, Pandora, Tidal and more, or local music file libraries. The PM7000N has been engineered using custom designed, hand-selected, high-grade audio components to deliver truly exceptional sound quality with Hi-Res audio
support, onboard phono stage, voice control, and more.
Designed with renowned Marantz technologies like the company’s proprietary Current Feedback amplification and Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAM-SA3), the PM7000N
delivers lifelike realism with extended dynamic range and lower distortion to accommodate the demands of high-resolution digital music. The integrated amplifier features a toroidal transformer and high-speed instantaneous-current power supply, which provides
2x 60W into 8 ohms or 2 x 80W into 4 ohms. The PM7000N also boasts a newly developed preamplifier section that leverages the latest electronic volume control to achieve outstanding channel separation and exceptional signal-to-noise ratio.
“There is an increasing demand from enthusiasts and audiophiles who desire easy access to their favorite music streaming services, particularly high-resolution content
from providers such as Amazon HD and Tidal,” said Emmanuel Millot, senior director brand management at Marantz. “The PM7000N offers the best of both worlds by maintaining Marantz’s rich audiophile legacy of Hi-Fi 2-channel integrated amplifiers while embracing
market demand for access to streaming.”
Audiophile Performance with the Benefits of HEOS Built-in
With HEOS Built-in, the PM7000N will stream almost unlimited Internet-based content and deliver music to any room throughout the home using other HEOS Built-in-capable speakers or electronics for a wireless, whole-home entertainment experience. Listeners can enjoy music from Amazon HD, Spotify, Pandora, Tidal, TuneIn, local music file libraries and more. In addition, HEOS now supports Spotify Connect streaming for users with free accounts, so listeners can select music from a mobile device or a computer directly from the Spotify app and stream it directly to the PM7000N. Streaming content can be delivered using Bluetooth or Apple AirPlay 2.
Maintaining Signal Purity
To best isolate the analog circuit from digital interferences or noise radiation, the digital circuit is installed into a shielded case, minimizing potential interferences. However, to fully preserve the signal when listening to analog sources and provide the most musical experience, the PM7000N is also equipped with Pure Modes. Pure Modes enable listeners to disable USB-A, Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth, either individually or simultaneously to turn the PM7000N into a pure analog amplifier.

Integrated Phono Input
Vinyl lovers can easily connect their turntable to the PM7000N’s phono input and enjoy the classic purity of their entire LP record collection.
The PM7000N introduces a new integrated phono input design that integrates a FET (field-effect transistor) in the input stage. This provides a high input impedance, eliminates the need for AC coupling capacitors and simplifies the
signal path, lowering distortion and vastly improving the signal purity overall.
Inputs and Outputs
The PM7000N is equipped with four analog inputs and one analog output, and features one coaxial and two optical digital inputs, along with a USB-A input for high resolution audio files. Users
can connect a digital TV or cable/satellite set-top-box and a Blu-ray or DVD player to either of the three digital audio inputs (Optical 1 and 2, Coaxial 1) and enjoy the excitement and dynamic experience of movie soundtracks and TV shows. All of the digital
inputs can automatically wake the PM7000N when sensing an audio signal from the television, and the TV remote control can be programmed to directly operate the master volume control, mute, power on/off and source selection of the PM7000N. The subwoofer output
features an adjustable low-pass crossover to tailor bass response to each unique listening environment.
Additional Features Include:
·
Hi-Res Audio Support: Decodes Hi-Res audio ALAC, FLAC and WAV lossless files up to 24-bit/192-kHz, as well as DSD 2.8MHz and
5.6MHz tracks. Listen to music via the rear panel USB port or over network sources.
·
Tone Controls: Fine-tune treble, bass and balance audio settings using independent Bass, Treble and Balance control knobs
on the front panel. To ensure the shortest signal path and upmost fidelity, the PM7000N features Marantz Source Direct function, which bypasses the tone and balance control circuitry for a straight path, delivering elevated sound purity.
·
High-grade Speaker Terminals:
The speaker terminals of the PM7000N are made of dense brass with a thick nickel plating to provide best possible contact with speaker cables.
·
Built-in
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi: Features support for 2.4GHz/5GHz dual band networks
The Marantz PM7000N will be available November 15th, 2019 for $999 at all authorized Marantz retailers. For additional product specs, visit www.marantz.com.
