SAMSUNG MOBILE HELPS KEEP HOLIDAY TRAVELERS CHARGED-UP BEFORE FOURTH OF JULY HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Samsung Mobile Installs 20 New Redesigned Mobile Charging Stations

at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to Help Travelers Recharge Mobile Phones, Laptops and Other Electronic Devices for FREE



DALLAS – June 29, 2011 – Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile)1, the No.1 mobile phone provider in the U.S., today announced the installation of 20 newly designed charging stations in all of the terminals at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). DCA is the first airport to install the redesigned charging stations for travelers to conveniently charge their mobile phones, laptops and other personal electronics for free. JCDecaux, the world’s largest out-of-home advertising company, manages the advertising concession at DCA and partnered with Samsung to implement the redesigned charging stations. Additionally, there are also more than 40 charging stations at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

The redesigned charging stations offer travelers a variety of new features to ensure they stay connected on-the-road.”



The redesigned Samsung Mobile charging stations include six electrical outlets compatible for U.S. voltage (i.e., 120 volts), two USB charging outlets, four micro USB mobile phone charging plugs and a touchscreen display that provides travelers with informational content including news, weather and flight information. The display also features a “What’s New” tab for users to learn more about Samsung Mobile’s latest products. The charging stations are also equipped with a small shelf to hold travelers mobile phones and other electronic devices.

Samsung Mobile has installed more than 421 charging stations in 12 of the nation’s busiest airports that are accessible to more than 400 million passengers. Samsung Mobile has also installed 83 charging stations at 20 of the nation’s largest college campuses, along with six charging stations at The Las Vegas Convention Center and five charging stations at The Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN.
