Old Lyme, Conn. – March 14, 2011: Sennheiser Communications today announced that its DW Office wireless DECT headset has successfully completed interoperability and certification testing by leading networking and communication manufacturers including Cisco, Polycom and Avaya. The DW Office, which was recently honored with an International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Award, is a single-sided DECT headset designed for busy office professionals who need to keep in touch with customers and colleagues safely and securely.

Sennheiser Communications’ DW Office has been recognized as compliant with communications solutions from Avaya, Inc., a global leader in business collaboration systems, software and services. The DW Office successfully completed compatibility testing with Avaya one-X® Communicator and Avaya one-X® Agent soft clients and Avaya 1600 and 9600 series desktop telephones under the Avaya DevConnect program. As a Gold member of the Avaya DevConnect program, Sennheiser Communications is able to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.

The DW Office also successfully completed Interoperability Verification Testing* with Cisco IP Phones 7942G, 7945G, 7962G, 7965G and 7975G as well as with the Cisco IP Communicator 7.0.3 ( http://developer.cisco.com/web/cdc/home). With offerings such as DW Office headset, customers can more quickly deploy a broad range of Cisco compatible business applications, devices, or services that can enhance the capabilities, performance, and management of their Cisco network.

Finally, Sennheiser Communications announced that the DW Office has been formally recognized as being compatible with Polycom's entire range of SoundPoint® IP and Business Media phones. Polycom, a global leader in unified communications, also named Sennheiser an ARENA® Partner, which allows software application providers, hardware device manufacturers and conferencing solution providers to integrate their products with Polycom’s industry leading unified communication platform to create new applications.

“Our DW Office headset dramatically increases the quality and flexibility of communications in small to medium sized office environments and is the perfect complement to a unified communications solution," commented Bill Whearty, Sennheiser's vice president of retail sales. "Having interoperability certification from the industry's leading manufacturers gives us the opportunity to introduce the DW Office to a broader range of customers who demand superior audio quality."

The DW Office -- which has been designed for everyday use -- boasts Sennheiser HD voice clarity, narrowband and wideband compatibility, a two-in-one wearing style and an impressive wireless range. It also features Sennheiser’s exclusive ActiveGard™ technology, which protects users’ ears from unexpected noise “bursts” like static and loud noises.
